National Field Hockey Coaches Association

The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) is a nonprofit organization serving field hockey coaches and supporters of the game from across the United States.

Mission The mission of the organization is to stimulate the professional development of coaching leadership within the sport of field hockey. The NFHCA strives to cultivate and recognize the professional contributions of its membership and to foster and promote the growth of the sport. The NFHCA is responsible for providing a recognizable presence and voice in regard to legislation affecting the sport as well as interscholastic and intercollegiate programs.

The committee designed the award to honor the entirety of senior student-athletes’ careers and particularly recognize an individual’s accomplishments on and off the pitch, distinguished leadership, and team achievement. This award is in lieu of All-Region and All-American Awards that had been named in the past. Student-athletes had to meet three of five character criteria — covering items like community service and leadership roles — and five of ten athletic criteria to be eligible for recognition.

2019 NFHCA Winter Escape

Top Performer at Winter Escape Uncommitted Showcase

Gateway Field Hockey Club recently competed at the NFHCA Winter Escape tournament in Orlando, FL. Their team placed first in their pool. Congratulations!
One hundred thirty-seven 2019 and 2020 athletes participated in the Uncommitted Showcase at the NFHCA Winter Escape on 1/18/19. Max Field Hockey selected two athletes from each team as "Top Performers"-athletes that they noticed making a difference on the field. Congratulations to Skyler Lesslie for being chosen as one of the top 18!
